Tipicon Redemption
Hello all, Hope you’re doing well. As you know, we stopped our beloved service of Tipicon, which had its great times for both Telegram and Discord.
Since there might be some leftover balances for our users, we decided to open a redemption period in which you will be able to claim your leftover tokens. We will be a bridge between our users and the third party that keeps the private keys. The process is a bit different for both Telegram and Discord, hence depending on your account, please follow the guidelines below. Please note that for both platforms, you should be following the guideline with the same account that you have been utilizing Tipicon. You will be provided with your private key linked to that account as a response.
Telegram
Send a message to IDBot, which will give you your unique Telegram ID, which we also utilize in our backend for identity.
Either type /getid or click it from the provided menu after starting the conversation.
Forward the ID message that bot provides you with to https://t.me/t_redemption in a direct message.
You will be provided with the private key that was linked to the account you are sending the message from.
Discord
You will find a user named TipiconRedemption#1968. The user is present in the main ICON Discord channel, hence to communicate with it, you should also be present on that server. For the message to be delivered, you need to turn on “Allow direct messages from server members”, under the tab of Privacy & Safety from Settings.
Feel free to send any simple message, since we will be the ones getting your ID and checking if it matches with any saved account. You will be provided with the private key that was linked to the account you are sending the message from.
For both platforms, the requests will be handled manually, hence the plan is to get the requests until 1st of June and process all messages after the deadline.
